19 of Medvedev's 21 victories have been won on hard surfaces
A revitalized Medvedev won his first championship for over two years with success over Corentin Moutet in the competition championship match.
The athlete, a ex- world number one, has had a difficult season, winning just one win at the big events and suffering a meltdown at the New York tournament.
His inconsistency on the ATP Tour - and struggles with his serve in especial - caused him falling of the world's top 10 and ultimately splitting with long-term coach Gilles Cervara.
Presently working with Johansson and Goetzke, he has gradually improved in the last few weeks - culminating in a closely contested three-set triumph over Frenchman Moutet.
This represents the player's first championship after the 2023 Rome Masters and maiden on a hardcourt after spring of that year.
The win also indicates Medvedev has secured 21 titles at 21 different tournaments.
"It's the first time I have attended a event with my both daughters together, so to secure a championship is really nice," said tennis professional Daniil Medvedev.
"This victory is in tribute of my child Victoria, because the maiden victory I got when my child my daughter was born was for her."
The tennis star, the 2021 US Open champion, had been defeated in his previous six championship matches, comprising in that event previously this season.
The player's defensive approach and frequent reactions on court had caused commentators to doubt if his skill to play at the highest level was concluded.
But the 29-year-old has altered his approach in the last few weeks, making an effort to approach the net and play assertively, backed up by an better service.
The champion came back from a disadvantage in the initial set against the challenging Moutet, taking 4 of the concluding five exchanges to go ahead.
The pair swapped breaks in the following set before Moutet, striving for his initial ATP Tour championship, gained dominance to force a third set.
Moutet defended 4 initial break points in a tight deciding set before Medvedev secured a break to 15 to close out the victory.
Appropriately, the winner secured victory with a rally at the front of the court, with his opponent incapable to manage a volley after over two and a half hours.
